Cranky common wombat Posted by: Wombadilliac
Video duration: 45 seconds Clip shows an aggressive, juvenile male common wombat making typical 'chittering' noises, showing his displeasure. Note how the teeth are shown and the steady advancement towards the video camera. It was highly likely that 'Rumbles' could have charged towards the camera, and I was ready to whip the camera out of the way had he done so. 'Rumbles' has since been released back into the wild. Run wombat, run - "The Baldrick Manoeuver" Posted by: Wombadilliac
Video duration: 8 seconds Who ever said that wombats were slow, lumbering creatures? Not Baldrick! See how he runs and also recognises the voice of his foster mother calling out to him. People have asked whether the wombats that we have in care recognise their name. We don't think so, but they do know our voices as shown by Baldrick taking a sharp right towrds the camera.
